Terms of Service

Last updated: June 28, 2026

These terms govern your use of Statemently (the "Service"), operated by squidcode. By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The service

Statemently extracts transactions from bank-statement PDFs and exports them to spreadsheet and accounting formats, including a reconciliation check that compares extracted totals against the statement. Extraction uses automated AI processing.

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

  • Only upload statements you own or are authorized to process. You are responsible for having the right to process any document you upload.
  • Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service, or to access it in an automated way outside features we provide.

Accuracy and reliance

We work hard to extract data accurately and to flag totals that do not reconcile, but automated extraction is not perfect. The Service is provided "as is", and you are responsible for reviewing the output before relying on it for accounting, tax, legal, or financial purposes. We do not provide accounting or financial advice.

QuickBooks and third-party integrations

If you connect QuickBooks Online (or another integration), you authorize us to send the transactions you choose to push to that account. You are responsible for reviewing and categorizing the resulting transactions in your accounting system. Your use of third-party services is also subject to their terms.

Payments

Paid plans and credits are sold through our merchant of record, Polar, which handles billing and applicable taxes. Charges are described at checkout. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable; contact us if something went wrong and we'll make it right where we can.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on extracted output. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated or to protect the Service.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll revise the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
